An elegant and charming couple from Northern Europe wished to visit the verdant gardens of Villa Borghese and Pincio. And a surreal lake, with a beautiful Greek temple, provided the perfect settings for the start of their Rome honeymoon photo shoot. We met shortly before 6 pm for a friendly chat. After getting to know each other a bit, I let them in on my secret tips and tricks on how to candidly pose, for impeccably-looking images. The lake at the temple of Esculapio never fails to provide great photographic opportunities, especially for the romantic at heart. The picturesque Greek temple sitting on the side of the lake is a true treasure hidden in plain sight. Row-boats complete the picture adding a romantic element to it. After the rowboat ride, we capitalized on the warm tones of the golden hour for some sweet and charming pictures around the lake, right before heading towards the Pincio Gardens and its beautiful belvedere. Along the way, we took even more romantic pictures of this couple who picked Rome for their honeymoon. We wrapped up our shoot at the Belvedere of the Pincio Gardens, so famous for its breathtaking view over Piazza del Popolo and the Eternal City.
Villa Borghese and the Pincio Gardens are amazing locations where to stage wedding proposals, engagement photo shoots, and of course romantic honeymoon photo sessions.
